What "Visualize" Means to Me

Do you have a vision of yourself a year from now? What will you be doing? Who will you be with? Where will you be living? How about 5 or 10 years from now? ⁣

When athletes visualize or imagine a successful competition, they actually stimulate the same brain regions as you do when you physically perform that same action. Visualization in sports is a way of conditioning for your brain for successful outcomes. As a former athlete that used visualization to imagine my hand hitting the wall of the pool before anyone else and crossing the finish line at 26.2, I have adopted the practice of visualization to help me in all areas of my life. When I was told that I might not be able to conceive, I started visualizing myself pregnant. When Pete told me that we had an opportunity to move to Colorado, I started visualizing what that would look like. When I was told that Hashimoto’s is a disease that would hinder from me from doing the things that I loved, I started visualizing the anti-bodies leaving my body so that I could continue doing what I loved. ⁣

I encourage you to take a minute (or more!) to visualize what you will be doing in a year. What do you need to do to get there? How about 5 and 10 years from now? ⁣

Are you living in the home you want to be in a year from now? How about 5 or 10 years from now? Thinking about moving, but not sure what steps you need to take to get there? Let me help you.⁣ ⁣
